MEET YOUR COACH
Kris Lynch is the Head Coach at Golf Yourself Happy and the founder of Golf Yourself Healthy.
He works at the intersection of golf, wellbeing, and human experience — helping everyday golfers develop a healthier relationship with the game.
Like many golfers, Kris has experienced both the joy and the frustration the game can bring — which is why his work focuses on helping people rediscover what drew them to the game in the first place.
His work centres on a simple idea:
Golf improves when the relationship with the game improves.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND RECOGNITION
Kris’ work in golf and wellbeing has been recognised across the industry.
He was invited by the Chief Medical Officer of the DP World Tour to present his expertise and insights at the 3rd International Congress on Golf and Health.
In 2025, his work through Golf Yourself Healthy was awarded Best Sport and Wellbeing Initiative at the Global Healthcare and Pharma Awards.
His coaching draws on behavioural science and modern psychological frameworks, including Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).
WHAT I BELIEVE
Golf culture has created an environment in which golfers have been taught to measure their value through performance alone - which can make the game fragile, frustrating, and emotionally heavy.
I believe:
Belonging matters more than performance
Culture shapes the experience of golf far more than instruction does
Enjoyment is the foundation of improvement
When golfers change their relationship with the game, everything else becomes easier.
HOW I WORK
My coaching focuses on clarity, perspective, and self-trust.
Rather than offering swing fixes, I help golfers understand the mental patterns that shape their experience on the course.
The aim isn’t perfect golf.
It’s sustainable golf - where improvement happens alongside enjoyment, not at the expense of it.
IF YOU’RE CURIOUS ABOUT EXPERIENCING GOLF DIFFERENTLY, YOU CAN…
Join the Happy Hackers community, explore the Foundations Guide, work with me one-to-one or simply start by noticing how the game feels.
That’s where everything begins.
